FAQ

Questions families ask.

What ages do you teach?

TODO: ages / grades, e.g. K–5

Where do after-school classes meet?

At your child's own school, right after dismissal. I bring the program to elementary schools across Humboldt County: Eureka, Arcata, McKinleyville, Fortuna.

Where is the studio?

In my home in Eureka, California. I share the address with families when they enroll.

How long is a session?

Each session is 6 weeks. Sessions run all school year, mid-September to mid-June, so art fits around your child's other activities.

How many kids are in a class?

After-school classes are capped at 16 students, so every child gets encouragement and every piece gets appreciated.

Do I need to buy supplies?

No. I bring high-quality materials to every class: high-grade watercolor paper, oil pastels, tooling foil, and clay that I fire and glaze.

What if my child misses a class?

Things happen. When your child has to miss a class, you get an extra art lesson free of charge.

Can my child bring a friend?

Yes. Each school year, families in the program get a buddy pass to bring a friend to a class.

Will you help with my child's artwork?

I teach and encourage, but I never intervene on your child's paper. The art that comes home is theirs.

How much does it cost?

Can you bring the program to my child's school?

Principals, staff and PTA members can get in touch through the contact page and I'll explain how it works for your school.
